Why Did You Choose to Serve on the Board of Directors? In 2019, I was invited to join the Board after 6 months serving as a volunteer meal delivery driver. At that time, I felt the need to serve the community in some capacity and AMOW was the perfect fit.  I also had the time and energy to dedicate to the cause.

What Experience and Passion Do You Bring to AMOW? I’ve had the opportunity to witness the growth of AMOW since joining in 2019 and feel deeply committed to continue to offer my contributions to ultimately strengthen the organization and the invaluable service it provides to the senior population in Altadena. I particularly enjoy researching and applying for grant applications. I absolutely enjoy the personal interaction with both volunteers and the clients we serve.

Hobbies & Interests: Writing short stories

Fun Fact About Yourself: I enjoy cooking and baking.  My kitchen is my happy place and where I go to decompress and create culinary delights. I will occasionally ride the Metro bus or train to people watch and create stories in my mind about passengers as I observe them quietly while wearing my sunglasses during the bus or train rides. I taught swimming lessons to adults at a local YWCA in Jamaica when I was in my mid 20’s. I love long nature walks. I’m from a family of 12 children.  I’m #10!
